The essentials · Case 3 · SEO, paid search and conversion

Every channel has a conversion target written down before optimizing, and the first review happens at 100 clicks.

  • 79paid clicks in the week of Oct 8 to 14, 2026, with 2 campaignsGoogle Ads · screenshot of Oct 15, 2026
  • 2 / 250the target: 2 conversions per 250 clicks, per channelSet on Oct 15, 2026 · reviewed at 100 clicks

The problem: visits with no plan to convert them

Solving the first two problems brought a new one. The first visits were arriving, but there was no plan to scale clicks, rankings and visibility, or, above all, clients.

The diagnosis: without a target, every tweak is a bet

SEO takes time, and there was no way to know whether the work done was paying off. The client saw it too: tweaking for the sake of it moves some metrics, but marketing has to bring in money.

It isn't a before and after. It says there is already engagement to measure, and that we needed to know which channel each contact comes from.

I added the yellow box.

The fix: measure every channel and open a second, paid door

  • Measurement in GA4: key events (the actions that count as a contact), keeping organic visits apart from paid ones. The step-by-step is in the Google Analytics 4 setup guide.

  • More direct copy: text that names the client's pain points and compares the service with the options that no longer work for them.

  • Two Google Ads campaigns, with their own landing pages. With Keyword Planner I separated the negative keywords (searches that shouldn't show the ads) and wrote ads for each type of client. With its results: how the lead-filtering landing page was designed.

  • Off-site SEO on LinkedIn and first conversations with potential partners who can refer the service.

  • A content calendar that respects what's already published, and the Google Business Profile optimized for local searches.

The result: every channel with its target and its first data

Every channel has a target written down before optimizing, and its content is reviewed at 100 clicks, with its own data. Paid search is running (above, the week of Oct 8 to 14, 2026) and every visit is read by its channel:

Organic and paid, kept apart

That's how you know which channel brings each contact, and optimize each one with its own data.

I added the yellow box.

It's the channel for local searches. With more reviews, it earns trust.

Three things depend on the client and don't always improve the result. One is joining a directory of people who offer the same service; another, being more present on a social network or in forums. The third, publishing the testimonials that already exist, would strengthen the Google listing and trust across every channel.

Next steps: read the results in late November

Wait at least six weeks, until late November 2026, to read the results of what was done. Then, optimize based on the new audits and strengthen the funnel with whatever is at hand to generate conversions.
